If Ye Continue In My Word

Again, the theme for this church this year is to continue in the word of Christ. And this message deals with the key verse for the theme: John 8:31. We must continue in Christ's word to be His disciples indeed, and then we shall know the truth, and the truth will make us free!

The Book of Deuteronomy

We continue in our Old Testament Survey, and study the book of Deuteronomy! There are so many wonderful truths to be taken from this last book of the Pentateuch, and as always, pictures and shadows of Jesus Christ throughout.

Ittai

Not much is said in the Bible about the man Ittai, but we know enough about the man to say that he was faithful to the right king, and would not turn back, even when he was given freedom to do so, and this helped him earn incredible trust from King David himself.

Will Ye Also Go Away?

The theme for Bonners Ferry Baptist Church for 2026 is to “Continue” in our walk with Christ. The passage for this message is John 6, where at the end of the chapter, almost all of Christ’s disciples left because they were offended at Christ’s words. But there were 11 that would continue even after the death and resurrection of their Master, because of Who they knew they were following.

No Looking Back

Christ said that if a man put his hand to the plough, and looked back, he was not fit for the kingdom of God. These are strong words, but true ones. This message is on how we must continue to follow God’s will, and no looking back.

The Righteousness of Running

Is it ever right to run? Is it ever not a cowardly thing to do? Yes! In fact, there are many times we are commanded to flee certain sins. In this message we see the necessity to run away from the rule of Absolom, and it was no cowardly thing to do, but a sign of complete allegiance to the true king.

The Method of the Master

Can anyone impress God? Is it even possible? It seems so if you look at the faith of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15. Christ was amazed at the faith of this woman, and appalled by the hypocrisy of the Pharisees in the same chapter. It is faith that is the method of our Master.

The Practice of a Just Man

In this morning’s message, we looked at how Joseph was persuaded that what God said was true. Tonight, we look at his persuasion, or faith, in action. He obeyed what God said, no matter how drastically it changed his plans he may have had.

The Persuasion of a Just Man

Joseph was a just man, so there were some doubts in his mind when Mary was with child. But when the word of the Lord came to him, all his doubts were dispelled, because he was persuaded of the absolute fact that God’s Word was always right. Please tune in.
